A 5-ton central air conditioner typically has a running power of about 5–7 kW, with an instantaneous starting surge of approximately 24–40 kW. However, after installing a soft starter, the starting surge can be reduced to around 8–17 kW.
With a soft starter installed, if the solar system inverter has an output power of 8–12 kW, it can generally start a 5-ton central air conditioner.
The RUiXU Lithi2-16 16kWh power bank has a maximum discharge current of 200A, which can support the operation of a 5-ton central air conditioner. However, to help protect battery lifespan, we recommend using a discharge current of around 100A when possible.
For long-duration operation of a 5-ton central air conditioner, the best configuration is to use two Lithi2-16 power banks.
For the RX-LFP48100 rack battery, the recommended discharge current is 50A per battery. Therefore, four batteries provide a total capacity of 20kWh and can reach a combined discharge current of 200A. This configuration can also support the starting and running of a 5-ton central air conditioner.
Yes. RUiXU batteries are fully compatible with EG4/Luxpower protocols. Their firmware can dynamically adapt to the Luxpower protocol stack. When connecting to an EG4 6000XP or 18kPV, setting up the proper master/slave DIP configurations allows the inverter to handle precise state-of-charge tracking and dynamic charge current adjustments seamlessly.

The RUiXU RX-LFP48100 rack battery is modular design and support up to 32 units in parallel, scale from 5 kWh to 160 kWh can configuration without external controller.
Lithi2-16 IP rating is IP65 and with self-heating function, it is suitable for outdoor and colder-climate installations where many indoor-rated wall-mount batteries are not. Please confirm the current IP rating and temperature range on the product page before an outdoor install.
Lithi2-16 is a 16kWh LFP battery power bank designed for larger per-unit capacity. RX-LFP48100 is a 5.12kWh 51.2V 100Ah rack-mounted battery module designed for modular server-rack style systems. Both of them can scale up to 160kWh.
Choose the RX-LFP48100-H self-heating version when the battery bank may be installed in a colder environment. Self-heating supports charging and operation in low-temperature conditions where a non-heated LFP module would otherwise limit charging.
