BACKUP CAPACITY GUIDE
Match storage capacity to the loads you want to protect and the expected outage duration. Use these ranges as a starting point before completing a detailed load calculation.
9.04-15.06 kWh
Best for keeping essential loads running during shorter outages, including refrigerators, lighting, internet equipment, security systems and selected outlets.
21.08-30.12 kWh
Designed for most residential whole-home backup applications, including everyday household loads, kitchen appliances, lighting, electronics and appropriately managed HVAC equipment.
33.14-42.18 kWh
Recommended for homes with higher overnight consumption, central HVAC systems, well pumps, larger appliances or multiple high-demand loads that must operate during an outage.
48.20-54.24 kWh
Ideal for longer outages, high-energy-use homes and projects that require extended operation of HVAC, well pumps, refrigeration and other major household loads.

SIGENSTOR BUYING GUIDE
Start with the loads you want to back up, then choose storage capacity and the required system components. Final sizing, permitting, utility interconnection and equipment compatibility should be confirmed for the exact model and installation.
List critical circuits, large loads and the expected outage duration. Whole-home backup requires a different load plan than essential-circuit backup.
BAT 6.0 provides 6.02kWh and BAT 9.0 provides 9.04kWh per module. Available bundles scale to 54.24kWh.
Match the Energy Controller, battery modules, base, LoadHub and sensors to the project. Add EV charging and communications only when needed.
Use this table to understand what each product does before selecting a complete bundle or individual component.
| Product family | Primary role | Key specification | Selection note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sigen Energy Controller | Hybrid inverter and energy management | 11.5kW, 120/240V split-phase; up to 23kW PV input | Confirm array design, rapid shutdown and utility requirements. |
| SigenStor BAT 6.0 / BAT 9.0 | Modular LFP battery storage | 6.02kWh or 9.04kWh per module | Select total capacity from the expected load and runtime calculation. |
| Sigen LoadHub | Backup transfer and load management | 200A, 120/240V split-phase | Used for whole-home or selected-load backup configurations. |
| Sigen EVDC V2X Module | Bidirectional DC EV charging | Up to 25kW; connector options vary | Vehicle support, V2X functionality and utility permission must be verified. |
| Sigen EV AC Charger | Level 2 home EV charging | 208-240V; up to 11.5kW | Confirm circuit size, connector and local electrical requirements. |
| Monitoring and installation accessories | Communications, sensing and mounting | 4G module, power sensors, base and wall-mount hardware | Use the bill of materials for the exact installation configuration. |
BEFORE YOU ORDER
Certification and approval apply to specific model combinations, not automatically to every product carrying the Sigenergy name. Confirm the inverter, batteries, LoadHub and required accessories as one system with your installer or authority having jurisdiction.
Most Sigenergy system bundles include free shipping when that benefit is stated on the product page. Standard order fulfillment is generally 3 to 5 business days, followed by an estimated 5 to 8 business days in transit depending on destination. Inventory, back-order status, oversized freight requirements and remote-area delivery can change the final timing, so review the product page and checkout details before ordering.
Quick answers for comparing complete systems, battery modules, backup equipment and EV charging options.
A standard complete system combines a Sigen Energy Controller, one or more BAT 6.0 or BAT 9.0 LFP battery modules, a battery base and Sigen LoadHub for backup management. The EVDC V2X Charger is not included unless the product title and BOM explicitly identify a V2X bundle.
SigenStor uses modular battery packs with built-in DC-DC optimizers, so supported systems can be expanded with additional BAT 6.0 or BAT 9.0 modules as capacity needs grow. The final stack size, module compatibility, firmware and installation rules must be checked for the exact system before adding batteries.
Yes. For an AC-coupled retrofit, connect the existing PV inverter's AC output to the LoadHub's PV/generator port. New solar-plus-storage projects may instead use a DC-coupled design through the Sigen Energy Controller. Confirm port ratings, system compatibility, utility requirements and local electrical code before installation.
Start with the circuits and appliances that must operate during an outage, their combined power, and the number of backup hours required. Compare that load profile with the usable battery capacity and inverter output, then allow for solar production, battery reserve and future load growth.
LoadHub provides backup transfer and load management for supported 120/240V split-phase installations. Whether it is required depends on whole-home versus selected-load backup, service size, system architecture and local electrical requirements. In some utility territories, a Sigen Backup Switch may be used for whole-home backup when the equipment and configuration are approved.
No blanket approval should be assumed. Listings and certifications apply to exact model combinations and installation configurations. Verify the current California Energy Commission listing, manufacturer documentation and requirements from your utility and authority having jurisdiction before ordering.
Free shipping applies only when it is stated on the product or bundle page. Standard fulfillment is generally 3 to 5 business days, followed by an estimated 5 to 8 business days in transit. Inventory, back orders, oversized freight and remote-area delivery can change the timing and cost shown at checkout.
Sigenergy products generally include a standard 10-year warranty, but terms vary by product and installation conditions. Review the current manufacturer warranty for every component and retain the serial numbers, commissioning records and installer documentation required for a claim. Self2Solar can help identify the correct product documents before purchase.
The EVDC V2X module is available for supported SigenStor configurations, but bidirectional functions depend on the vehicle, connector, firmware, utility program and local approval. Confirm all of these requirements for the installation location before selecting the charger.
